
Stars Drop Opener Against Biscuits

With Riverwalk Stadium out of the path of Hurricane Issac, the Huntsville Stars dropped the opener of a five-game series against the Montgomery Biscuits by a score of 10-3 on Thursday night. The Biscuits offense was led by a seven-run barrage in the third inning off of Stars starting pitcher Johnnie Lowe, who fell to 4-4 on the year with the loss. On offense, the Stars were led by first baseman Hunter Morris who drove in all three Stars runs with a 2-run double in the first inning and his league-leading 26th homer in the fifth inning.
Game two of a five-game series between the two teams will take place on Friday night as the Stars will send RHP Ariel Pena (0-2, 7.57 ERA) to the hill. First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
