Stars, Diamond Jaxx To Play One Game Playoff

After finishing the first half Sunday in a tie with the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, the Huntsville Stars will host the D'Jaxx Tuesday night in a one game playoff for the Southern League North Division First Half Title.

Earlier this month, the Stars took three out of five games from the D'Jaxx at Joe Davis Stadium. The D'Jaxx hold a 6-4 advantage in the season series, but none of that matters Tuesday, as the winner will take all.

The Stars have won the last three straight SL North Division Half Titles. In 2006, the team rode a second half title to the SL Championship Series, and in 2007 the Stars swept both halves and fell just one game shy of winning the SL Championship.

First pitch Tuesday is scheduled for 7:05pm with Steve Hammond facing D'Jaxx lefty Ryan Ketchner. Tuesday is also 'Two-for-Tuesday,' presented by Comcast, with special two-for-one ticket prices.
