March 10, 2011 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Kansas City Command News Release

The Kansas City Command have named local broadcaster Nick McCabe the new radio play-by-play announcer for the team. Games will air on the radio home of the Command, Sports Radio 810 WHB. McCabe previously served in a variety of broadcast roles for the Kansas City Brigade as pre and post game host, sideline reporter, and substitute play-by-play and analyst.

"I am obviously thrilled to be selected as the radio voice of the brand new Command and look forward to describing the action to fans this season," McCabe said. "I could not be more excited that arena football is back in Kansas City."

McCabe has been a broadcaster in Kansas City for 15 years. He has been the lead announcer for Sports Radio 810 WHB's High School Football Game of the Week since its inception in 1998. In addition to announcing games for the Missouri Comets indoor soccer team and Park University's basketball teams, he currently operates his own marketing and writing business, McCabe Multimedia. McCabe and his wife Becky live in the northland and have two children.

About the Kansas City Command - After a two-season hiatus, the team formerly known as the Brigade is bringing the fast-moving, hard-hitting excitement of Arena Football back to Kansas City for the upcoming 2011 season. Originally granted a franchise in Jan. 2006, the Kansas City Brigade quickly established a reputation for the unique blend of football and entertainment - welcoming sellout crowds of more than 12,000 fans. In the 2008 season, the Brigade moved their home games to Sprint Center, Kansas City's award winning downtown arena, bringing action packed indoor football to capacity crowds.
