The Edinburg Roadrunners closed out the three-game series with Shreveport by defeating the Sports 4-1 at Fair Grounds Field.
Edinburg scored two runs in the second inning, one run scoring on an error and the other on an RBI single by Cedrick Harris.
The Sports scored their only run in the sixth inning on a bases loaded walk to Mike Willis. Shreveport left 11 runners on base during the game, leaving the bases loaded twice.
The Roadrunners scored two runs in the ninth inning, one coming on a throwing error and the other on a base hit by Marco Garza.
The Sports will now open a four-game series at Jackson Friday night and return to Fair Grounds Field next Tuesday to open up a seven-game home stand.
