
Spokane's Meyer Voted Week 15 AFL MVP

CHICAGO - Spokane Shock quarterback Erik Meyer has been voted AFL MVP for Week 15 of the 2014 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season.
Meyer (6-2, 215, Eastern Washington) tossed three touchdown passes and rushed for three more in Spokane's 70-30 victory over the San Antonio Talons in Week 15. In his first start since suffering a shoulder injury on May 4, Meyer returned to break his own single-season franchise record for rushing scores by recording his 16th of the year last week.
Fans had 24 hours to vote for the AFL MVP award on ArenaFootball.com. Meyer took home 52 percent of the fan vote, beating out fellow candidates Nick Davila of the Arizona Rattlers and Tommy Grady of the Cleveland Gladiators.
Meyer and the Shock will look to clinch their fourth playoff berth in five years when they travel to Anaheim this Saturday for a matchup with the LA KISS (3-10) in "NET10 Wireless AFL on ESPN" action. Kickoff is set for 10:00 p.m. ETon ESPN2.
