Soul Hold Town Takeover in Swedesboro May 2

PHILADELPHIA (April 29, 2015) "" The Philadelphia Soul will host a Town Takeover in Swedesboro on Friday, May 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Town Takeover, will take place at the Locke Ave Park located at 58 Locke Ave in Swedesboro, NJ before their Latin Heritage Night, presented by Independence Blue Cross, against the Portland Thunder on Saturday, May 2 at 6 p.m.

During the practice, kids will be asked to participate by "running plays" with the Soul team. This will be the team's last practice before the Soul (5-0) host the Portland Thunder (2-3) at the Rothman Field at Wells Fargo Center.

"Town Takeovers are a great opportunity for fans to connect with our players and coaches. At 5-0, we are obviously proud of our team on the field at this point. However, we are even more proud of the individuals that make up this team and we are excited for Gloucester County to connect with them on Friday," said John Adams, Chief Operating Officer of the Soul.

In addition to Soul players and coaches, there will be appearances by the Soul mascot, SoulMan, the Soulmates dance team, Soul ownership, and front office staff. After the practice, fans will be able to meet Soul players and Soulmates who will be signing autographs. The South Jersey Youth Flag Football of Gloucester County will be selling tickets for the Saturday, June 6 Soul game. Proceeds from tickets sold will go to SJYFF of GC Scholarship Fund.

The next Soul game will be held against the Portland Thunder. It will be themed, "Latin Heritage Night," with fan giveaways including an Inflatable Soul Water Bottles to the first 3,000 fans and many more, all presented by Independence Blue Cross. Kick-off will be at 6 p.m.
