Slaughter Slips by Wisconsin, Moves to 2-0
March 21, 2009 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Chicago Slaughter News Release
The Chicago Slaughter (2-0) of the Continental Indoor Football League topped the Wisconsin Wolfpack 40-36 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison Wisconsin Saturday night. Ahead for most of the game, the Slaughter beat a stronger than expected Wolfpack squad in a game marked by numerous penalties.
"Although we're glad to have won, it was frustrating to all of us," said LB DeJuan Alfonzo. "There were some cheap shots going on out there that simply weren't called whenever it would have been to our benefit. All I expect is a fair chance to win the game."
Slaughter standouts on offense included WR Reggie Gray, QB Russ Michna, and WR Dontrell Jackson, while Alfonzo led the defensive charge for the club. Statistics for the game were not readily available after the game.
The Slaughter will face the Rock River Raptors at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates on March 28th at 7:05 p.m. For ticket information, please call the Chicago Slaughter office at (847) 310-3190 or go to their web site at www.ChicagoSlaughter.com.
