
Slammers Drop Game One in Series vs Washington

Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy dropped their series opener vs. the Washington Wild Things 5-2 Tuesday night.
The Wild Things started the scoring with Hector Roa hitting an RBI triple that scored Roman Collins making it 1-0 after the 4th. Washington scored four more runs in the 5th headlined by James Harris reaching first base on a fielder's choice that scored two runs that gave Washington a 5-0 lead.
Joliet scored in the bottom of the 6th on a balk and in the bottom of the 9th on a Chaz Meadows RBI sacrifice fly but the Wild Things held on to win 5-2.
Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Player of the Game is Justin Garcia who went 1-3.
Joliet continues their series vs. the Washington Wild Things tomorrow at 7:05.
