BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Bellingham Slam's inaugural International Basketball League season is set to get considerably more difficult in the coming weeks. Vancouver's only loss came in their first game of the season on March 15 at the hands of the Snohomish County Explosion.

Following Saturday's game against Vancouver, the Slam head north to take on the expansion Edmonton Chill on April 26 and 27. The Chill feature a roster laden with NBA prospects, including former Duke standout Sean Dockery. The Slam will take on the Chill twice before heading back to Bellingham to close out the season series with the Explosion on May 3 at Whatcom Pavilion. The Slam then round out the tough three week span the next day as they travel south to take on the Portland Chinooks on the road on May 4.

The Slam are being led by a trio of ex-Western Washington standouts. Guards Ryan Diggs and Jacob Stevenson are averaging 25.8 and 23.7 points per game, respectively. Forward Lukas Henne is enjoying an impressive rookie season, averaging 16.8 points and 8.8 points per game. Diggs is coming off his first career triple-double, scoring 25 points and adding 13 assists and 10 rebounds in the Slam's 120-110 win over Portland last Friday.
