Slam Dance Team Tryouts Set for January 22

BELLINGHAM, Wash.- The Bellingham Slam will be holding an open dance team tryout for the Slam's 2011 International Basketball League season, the team announced today.
The tryout will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.at the WadeKingStudentRecreationCenteron the campus WesternWashingtonUniversity.
The cost to participate in the tryout is $10 and participants should wear dance attire, come with a positive attitude and be ready to learn a new dance routine.
The Slam Dance Team will be responsible for entertaining fans during timeouts and halftime at Slam home games during the season and also at various community events throughout the year.

The Slam will tip-off the 2011 season with their home opener at Whatcom Pavilion on Friday, April 15 against the West Coast Hotshots. A full schedule will be released later this month.
