SOMERSET, NJ (Sept. 24, 2008) - Sky Blue Soccer announced today a partnership with Readington Travel Soccer Club that will see the two organizations work together as Sky Blue prepares its new women's professional team - Sky Blue FC - for the inaugural season of Women's Professional Soccer in 2009.

Readington Travel S.C. will be the first club to take advantage of Sky Blue Soccer's new initiative to improve its relationships with the soccer clubs in the surrounding area. The initial partnership is only a first step and Sky Blue expects to expand the relationship into a long-term strategic alliance.

As part of the agreement, Sky Blue Soccer will provide professional-level women trainers for Readington's travel teams. Sky Blue also served as a title sponsor for the Readington Soccerfest 2008 - a tournament that took place the weekend of September 6th and 7th. In addition, Sky Blue will provide an ACL Injury Prevention Clinic and a Coaches' clinic for the club and all Readington Travel teams will feature the Sky Blue logo on their uniforms.

"We're very happy about launching a new initiative with Readington that will be mutually beneficial for everyone involved," said Sky Blue Soccer CEO and President Thomas Hofstetter. "We see this partnership as a perfect model for integrating Sky Blue's professional system with the youth soccer clubs of New Jersey and the surrounding area."

Sky Blue FC will be one of the charter franchises in WPS - a brand new women's professional soccer league that features teams in seven markets including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, San Francisco Bay Area, and Washington DC. Sky Blue FC will play its home matches at Yurcak Field on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ.

"Everyone is excited that our players and coaches will be learning from the top female soccer players in the United States," said RTSC President Paul Tarantiles. "Not only will all of our female teams be trained by Sky Blue but so will many of our male teams too."

Sky Blue FC season tickets are on sale now for the inaugural Women's Professional Soccer season in 2009. Tickets can be purchased in the Sky Blue Soccer online store at www.SkyBlueSoccer.com or by calling 888-SBFCTIX.
