
SIFL Names Players of the Week

LAKE CHARLES, La. - The Southern Indoor Football League announces its Players Of The Week for games played May 6-9.
OFFENSE: Chris McCoy, Columbus Lions. McCoy threw for five touchdown passes as the Lions continued their offensive tear of the past five weeks. The previous week, McCoy set an SIFL record by throwing for an SIFL record 483 yards against Carolina.
DEFENSE: Guesly Dervil, Columbus Lions. Registered two touchdowns on defense - a 36-yard interception return and a 30-yard fumble recovery in the Lions' 81-32 victory over the Fayetteville Force.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Kenny Spencer, Alabama Hammers. Went 7/7 on PATs and nailed a fourth-quarter field goal as Alabama downed Carolina 52-44.
