Shrimp Score Four in the Eighth, Beat Paints 9-8

LISLE, Ill. - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, overcame a 5-1 deficit to take an 8-5 lead, but made an error and gave up four in the bottom of the eighth to lose to the DuPage Pistol Shrimp 9-8.

Cody Orr, Gavin Homer and Charlie Patrick collected two hits each, both of Patrick's went for triples. Catcher Cole Andrews drove in two and threw out four baserunners trying to steal. Homer and Colin Shepherd each drove in a run as well.

DuPage made four errors on the night, threw six wild pitches and had two passed balls, but struck out 18 Paints hitters on the night.

The Paints, now 2-7 on the season, have lost five games by one run and two by two runs.

Chillicothe plays the Pistol Shrimp again Sunday afternoon to complete the road trip. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. (Eastern).
