Series Notes

-A closer look at the numbers shows that the Mudbugs are 5-1 all-time in Game 6's going 1-1 on the road and 4-0 at home in those games. Bossier-Shreveport has won eight of the last nine games they have played that they have had a chance to eliminate a team including all three they have played this season.

-Bossier-Shreveport's 7-2 win in Game 5 represents the most goals allowed by the Eagles in a playoff game and was the most lopsided post-season effort in the team's history.

-Mudbugs forward Nick Layton is currently on an eight-game point streak (the longest active streak in the playoffs) which is just one shy of tying Allen's Dave Bonk for the longest point streak in this year's post-season. During Layton's hot stretch, he has tallied five goals and six assists and is coming off his best game to date in Game 5, two goals, one assist and a +4 plus/minus rating.

-Colorado will have to win back-to-back home games to earn their third Ray Miron Presidents' Cup championship and all-time in the post-season are 38-16 at the Budweiser Events Center. This year, the Eagles are 6-3 on home ice in the playoffs.

-Looking back at Colorado's history, they are 5-4 all-time in Game 6's including 4-2 on home ice and should they advance to a Game 7, it would be their second one this post-season (defeated Rapid City 1-0 in Game 7 of the Turner Conference Finals) and they are 4-0 all-time in Game 7's.

-Colorado forward Adam Chorneyko, a 2011 CHL All-Rookie Team member, leads all skaters in the playoffs with 23 points (6-17=23) and is one of just four Eagles with a positive plus/minus rating in the series versus the Mudbugs. Chorneyko's +7 plus/minus rating is five better than any other Eagles player (Brett Thurston, +2). Overall, Chorneyko is a +16 which is tops among all post-season players.

-After putting up 10 points (3-7=10) in the first 15 Colorado playoff games, two-time CHL Most Outstanding Defenseman Aaron Schneekloth (2009, 2010) has just one assist in his last five games. The veteran d-man has 56 points (16-40=56) in 80 career CHL playoff games.

-Colorado's power play is just 1 for 19 in the Finals as they have scored as many shorthanded goals as they have power play goals. Overall in the post-season, they are 13 for 97 (13.4%) with the man advantage. Kevin Ulanski leads the team with five PPG's and Steve Haddon is second with four power play strikes.

-Bossier-Shreveport goalie Ryan Munce has stopped 45 of the 47 shots he has faced since relieving John DeCaro in the second period of Game 4 and has won each of the ‚¬ËœBugs last two games sporting a 1.27 goals against average and a .957 save percentage.

-The Mudbugs two first period power play goals in Game 5 were as many as they had scored in the first four games combined. Overall, Bossier-Shreveport is 4 for 30 with the man advantage (13.3%) with Jeff Kyrzakos leading all playoff skaters with six power play scores.

-Colorado has led in just three of their 20 playoff games so far going 2-1 when holding the advantage after 20 minutes. Conversely, the Mudbugs are 8-2 when leading after the first period.

-Dating back to Game 3 in the Allen series (the conference finals), David Rutherford has scored eight goals with four assists and a +8 plus/minus rating in the seven games he has played ( ‚¬ËœBugs are 5-2 in those games). Rutherford's hat trick in Game 5 was the first by a Mudbug in the playoffs since Chris Brassard's in 2005.

-Shawn Limpright is the top road warrior for the Mudbugs scoring 10 points (4-6=10) in eight road games thus far in the 2011 playoffs. On the flip side, amateur Nick Layton has scored just three of his 17 points away from home.

-For Colorado, Riley Nelson's 18 points (8-10=18) and Kevin Ulanski's 14 points (4-10=14) lead their team in points on home ice.
