Series Notes:
-The Mavs are the first team in CHL history to win the first two games of a conference final on the road. In 18 conference finals in league history where a team has grabbed a 2-0 series lead, only once has a team come back to win the series that was down 2-0. That occurrence was during the 2001-02 season when the Austin Ice Bats defeated the El Paso Buzzards 4-2 winning the last four games in the series.
-John-Scott Dickson has scored goals in four straight games (+5 over that span) and was the hero on Friday night scoring the overtime game winner in Missouri's 3-2 win in Game 1 of the series.
-Jamie Lovell leads all Komets defensemen with five playoff points (2-3=5) and so far in the conference finals leads all skaters with 10 shots on goal (one score).
-Missouri goalie Charlie Effinger is 6-0 in the playoffs with a league-best .951 save percentage. His 1.75 GAA is second only to Texas' Brad Fogal (1.58 GAA).
-Fort Wayne's Chris Auger has 10 points in the post-season (3-7=10) leading all skaters and has points in all eight post-season games so far.
-Missouri's Andrew Courtney has points in five of his last six games totaling three goals and three assists over that stretch.
-If Fort Wayne is to get back in the series, than goalie Nick Boucher is going to have to be a part of it. During the regular season, the all-star was 4-0-2 in games he played following two straight losses. Away from home, Boucher is 2-1 with a 2.99 GAA in the playoffs and was 17-6-0 with a 2.38 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

Series Notes:
-The Thunder gave up the first goal on both Friday night and Sunday afternoon against the Brahmas making it seven straight games in the post-season that Wichita has allowed the first goal. It hasn't dampened their wins and losses as they are 5-2 through their first seven games.
-Wichita has five shorthanded goals in this year's post-season. The CHL record for SHG's in one post-season is eight set by Oklahoma City in 1999.
-The seven-goal second period in Sunday's 8-1 win marks the most goals in a single period in the 20 year history of the CHL playoffs.
-Jarred Mohr's +6 plus/minus rating in Sunday's win ties the CHL record for highest plus/minus in a single CHL post-season game (Steve Weidlich-Laredo, 1994).
-Texas heads home for Game's 3 and 4 where T.J. Fox has scored four of his five goals during the playoffs. Fox has two game winning goals in the playoffs.
-Wichita's power play is the worst of any remaining team in the post-season connecting for just one goal in 28 chances (3.6%). During the regular season, the Thunder were sixth in the league at 18.7%.
This Date in Playoff History (Monday, April 16, 2010)
On this date in 2010, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs beat the Rapid City Rush 6-1 in Game 4 of the Turner Conference finals. Two current-Komets were part of the Mudbugs organization at the time, and had a huge impact on that game. Jamie Milam went on to score two power play goals, including the game winner and Brett Smith found himself on the score sheet as well, netting a power play goal.
