Sharks Take Top Spot in Week 7 Coaches' Poll

CHICAGO - The undefeated Jacksonville Sharks (6-0) move up to the No. 1 spot in this week's Coaches' Poll following a key conference win on the road against the Philadelphia Soul (2-3) in Week 6.

For the fourth time this season, the top two teams in the Poll will square off against each other, as the Sharks host the No. 2-ranked Arizona Rattlers (5-1). It will also mark the first time the two franchises have met since Jacksonville defeated Arizona, 73-70, at ArenaBowl XXIV in 2011. The matchup features the League's top scoring offense versus its No. 1 scoring defense. The Rattlers' high-powered offense is averaging 71.7 points per game, while the Sharks' aggressive defense is holding opponents to 42.7 points per contest. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 4.

Following a 70-62 home loss in Week 6 to the Tampa Bay Storm (4-2), the Spokane Shock (5-1) drop two spots to No. 3 in the Week 7 Coaches' Poll. The team will look to rebound this Saturday against the division-rival Utah Blaze (2-3), who picked up their second win of the season last weekend. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.

The Tampa Bay Storm earned one first place vote following the team's upset victory in "Deaf Valley". The Storm is undefeated on the road this season but holds a 1-2 record at home. The squad will look to bring that mark up to .500 this weekend when the New Orleans VooDoo (1-4) come to town for "NET10 Wireless Arena Football Saturday" on CBS Sports Network. The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. ET.

After starting the season 0-2, the Chicago Rush (4-2) have rattled off four straight victories en route to the No. 5 ranking in the Coaches' Poll. The squad will look to make it five in a row when the Philadelphia Soul (2-3) visit in Week 7. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 4.
