Orlando Sharks News Release

(Orlando, FL - September 30, 2008) - The Orlando Sharks signed three top ten scoring leaders in the past 24 hours, adding significant firepower and indoor experience to their offense.

Former Detroit Ignition midfielder Ryan Mack and forward Hewerton Moreira join former California Cougars forward Enrique Tovar as the newest additions to the Orlando Sharks of the National Indoor Soccer League.

Hewerton (pronounced Everton) Moreira finished the final MISL season as the 8th leading scorer with 77 points and Ryan Mack scored 66 (10th best in the league) while with the Ignition for the Major Indoor Soccer League's (MISL) final season in 2007-08, while Tovar racked up 74 points to finish 9th in scoring in the league. The Sharks' leading scorer in their inaugural season was Miki Djerisilo, who managed to tally just 48 points.

"The addition of some of the top indoor players in this hemisphere to our roster is an exciting step toward strengthening our offense for our sophomore season," said Sharks President Rich Bradley. "Coach (Jake) Dancy has done a fantastic job in attracting premier talent, and these additions are just a portion of the plans that we have to take the Sharks to the next level this year."

Moreira, originally from Santos, Brazil, holds the distinction of being a member of the 2006 US national champion World United Futsal Club as well as a seasoned MISL veteran. Mack, a native of Birmingham, Michigan, was named Michigan High School Player of the Year in 1998. He also won national championships at the college level, playing for Indiana University before joining the MISL with the San Diego Sockers in 2004.

Enrique Tovar has led the California Cougars in points scored the past two seasons after playing with the USL Pro Selects League's California Gold in 2004. Tovar was a member of the San Francisco Soccer Football Associations Premier Division in 2003 and 2004, where he was the league's top scorer in 2004.

"These players want to play for Orlando, and I know Orlando will take to these guys immediately," said Dancy. "These are the kind of players that we couldn't get last year, but who have now become available to us, and we jumped on the opportunity to land them."
