Philadelphia Force News Release

Allentown, PA - The Philadelphia Force is excited to announce the renewal of their partnership with Service Electric TV 2, a leader in sports coverage within the Lehigh Valley. This will mark the 4Th season that the two entities have worked together. Force Owner/GM Tom Kleinman commented, "Service Electric and TV 2 have always been our loyal and dedicated Partner. I look forward to working with Andy Himmelwright and the entire TV 2 family, who are among our most ardent supporters!"

For the upcoming 2009 NPF Season, Service Electric TV2 will feature 6 games. The first two will appear during the Force's Home Opening series against Chicago series June 16-20th, June 18 and 19 when the Force hosts Jennie Finch and the 2008 NPF Champion Chicago Bandits. The next game will be during the Akron Series, when the Racers bring in two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Crystl Bustos, Team USA player Jennie Topping and All-NPF selection Angela Tincher, who led the league in strikeouts last season with 157, on July 11.

The July 30 game against the Rockford Thunder brings to town a lineup which included six players in the top 10 in homeruns last year, as well as Cat Osterman. The August 16 telecast marks the 5th home game of the season for the Force, with the Washington Glory coming in for that weekend. Game time is at 5:35pm. The Glory will bring their talent laden team that includes Team USA players Monica Abbott, Kelly Kretchman and newly signed Caitlin Lowe.

The last game is TBA later this year. With the exception of the last game of the season against Washington, all games are slated for a 7:35 start time. Except the two Sunday games which will start at 5:35 PM. Additionally, look for greater and expanded coverage on the TV 2 Sports staple "Sports Scene," especially prior to every Home game Series. New commercials have been running since January 10th, and features Force Stars Katie Burkhart and Megan Gibson.
