Selesky Tabbed as Newest PIFL Director

NASHVILLE, TN (January 28, 2015) - The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) is proud to announce Ron Selesky as the new Director of Football Operations and Compliance for the upcoming 2015 season taking over the spot that was vacated by Jeff Gonos who now resides as the General Manager for the PIFL's Trenton Freedom.

Selesky enters his first season with PIFL after previously serving three years as an assistant head coach for the AFL's Cleveland Gladiators as well as Director of Player Personnel in 2011.

He boasts several years of Arena Football experience both at the head coaching and assistant coaching levels getting his start as the Director of Player Personnel and assistant coach for the AFL's Tampa Bay Storm from 1997-99. After his stint with the Storm Selesky had Head Coaching stops with the AF2's Louisville Fire (2001) followed by the Albany Conquest (2002) where he earned AF2 Coach of the Year.

Selesky returned to the AFL in 2003 as the head coach and Director of Football Operations of the Buffalo Destroyers for one season. The following season, he joined the Carolina Cobras as the defensive coordinator taking the reins as the interim head coach for the clubs final six games.

In 2006, Selesky was selected as the second head coach in the history of the Birmingham Steeldogs guiding the club to the playoffs in 2007.

After the end of the 2007 season, he took a position as the Defensive Coordinator and Director of Player Personnel for the Grand Rapids Rampage before ultimately joining the AFL's Gladiators in 2011.

Playing his collegiate ball at North Central College, Selesky spent several years as a lineman at the professional level splitting time with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions.

A native of New Brunswick, NJ, Selesky and his wife Michelle have four children.
