Amarillo, TX March 6: The Amarillo Venom wants to thank all those that came out to the press conference today and would also like to thank Kids Inc. of Amarillo for hosting the press conference.
Here is what we are covering today:
Season Tickets are on sale- Fans can purchase their tickets at the Amarillo Venom office at 901 S. Buchanan or call us at (806) 350-7277.

Training camp is now open- Today was the first day for players to wear pads and helmets. Head coach Julian Reese shared information about how the players are doing and the strides being made in training camp.
Practices later in the day will be announced in the near future. Here are just a few things coach had to say.
On training camp: "I'm really, really excited right now, guys are flying around, [and] they are ready to go," Reese said. "I think that the fact we told them there was going to be a conditioning test, they kind of made themselves get in shape and it was a good thing. They came in, they took the test and they passed it."On quarterback Nate Davis: "Nate's right on point right now," Reese said.
"He's been with the guys on his own for a while now, since February when he got here."On roster filling: "Right now we are sitting at 26 on the roster," Reese said. "We had a couple that couldn't come which happens all the time due to financial stuff or family issues. So right now we are at 25 and we have to get to 23 so really we have to cut only two people."On this team compared to last year's championship team: "The only difference is now we got a big bull's-eye on our back," Reese said. "A lot of people are coming after us so we are going to be more physical. [We as] the coaching staff has a year under our belt, so we are different a little bit. I guess we are all a little more grown, run things a little smoother, and spread the ball around a lot more. We have a lot more talent this year as far as coming in healthy and strong right away. We are not having to wait five games we are ready to go week 1."
