SD Loyal Unveils Retro-Inspired "8-Bit" Kit for 2023

SAN DIEGO - Today, San Diego Loyal Soccer Club revealed its third CHARLY Fútbol jersey for the 2023 season, the "8-Bit" kit. A first of its kind for SD Loyal, the newest club kit embraces the iconic 8-bit graphics that defined the gaming landscape of the 80's and 90's. With a sky blue to mint green gradient featuring classic 8-bit graphic detailing throughout the lower half of the jersey and crest, the 8-Bit Kit pays homage to San Diego's perfect climate and beaches, the ultimate destination for summer fun in the sun.

Outlined in mint green, the 8-Bit Kit is the first jersey in SD Loyal history to implement the club's secondary "SD" badge. In addition, the jersey features SD Loyal's kit partners in BluPeak (front-of-kit), Corralejo Tequila (back-of-kit) and Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (right-sleeve), while introducing Cymbiotika for the first time, the Official Wellness and Supplement Partner of SD Loyal (upper-back).

Commonly referred to as the golden age of gaming, legendary console games of the 80's and 90's were developed using 8-bit computer graphics. With six vibrant and pixelated colors on display, the 2023 SD Loyal 8-Bit Kit is a must have for fans, gamers and San Diegans alike. The 8-Bit Kit is available to purchase now online only at TheShop.SDLoyal.com. The first opportunity to purchase the new kit in-person will be at Torero Stadium this Friday, June 9 when the club takes on Sacramento Republic FC at 7 p.m. Tickets to the match are available now at sdloyal.com/tickets. Shipping for online orders will begin on Monday, June 12.
