December 13, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
San Diego Loyal News Release

SAN DIEGO - San Diego Loyal SC announced today that it will be hosting open tryouts on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Valley Field on the University of San Diego campus (5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110). Open tryouts are part of the club's overall effort to expand its recruiting pool while attempting to discover players before its fourth season in The USL Championship kicks off in March 2023.

Soccer players from all over the world have a life-changing opportunity to impress newly appointed Head Coach Nate Miller and the entire SD Loyal coaching staff for a chance to earn a professional contract and a spot on the first team roster. To participate, players must be between the ages of 15 and 35. Visit sdloyal.com/tryouts to register today, limited spots available. For all additional questions, email tryouts@sdloyal.com.

Previous trialists have made it into preseason camps, become part of the first team roster and even earned playing time. SD Loyal is proud to give local and regional talent a chance at being part of the first team. The club signed its first development player to a professional contract last season in Loyal Select goalkeeper Duran Ferree. Ferree, who was 15 years old at the time he signed his first professional contract, went on to play in two USL Championship matches, starting in one.

The 2023 USL Championship season begins in March. 2023 Season Ticket Memberships are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by calling (858) 465-GOAL or by visiting sdloyal.com/tickets.
