SD Loyal Announces 2023 Preseason Schedule

SAN DIEGO - San Diego Loyal SC announced today its 2023 preseason schedule as it prepares for its upcoming fourth season in the USL Championship. Head Coach Nate Miller's squad will have six exhibition matches in preparation for the regular season kicking off Saturday, March 11 at Torero Stadium against Eastern Conference opponent Detroit City FC.
The preseason schedule begins with a match against San Diego State University (SDSU) on Feb. 4. SD Loyal will then face Loyola Marymount University (LMU) the following Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center (CVEATC).
SD Loyal will then have a pair of matches against Major League Soccer clubs New York City FC on Feb. 15 (Indio, Calif.) and defending MLS Cup champion Los Angeles Football Club on Feb. 18 at Banc of California Stadium. Fan access to both MLS matches will be announced at a later date.
The second to last preseason match will be against fellow USL Championship side Orange County SC on Feb. 25 at Mira Costa College in Oceanside. The preseason concludes with a match against Fuego FC of USL League One on Saturday, March 4.
