Sax to Visit Yuma

Steve Sax, a 14 year veteran MLB veteran, 5 time All-Star and 1982 NL Rookie of the Year, will be in Yuma, AZ December 7th and 8th. Sax, along with Scorpions Manager and former teammate Mike Marshall, will be at several businesses to help promote the Arizona Winter League.

On Friday the 7th, Sax, Marshall, the Scorpions mascot Stinger and the new AWL mascot will appear in the Christmas Parade in downtown Yuma. Sax and Marshall will then host a sponsor dinner right after the parade at Yuma Landing Bar & Grill.

On Saturday, the 8th, both former major leaguers will sign autographs at three different AWL sponsors. From 11:00am-12:00pm the 2 will be signing autographs at Dan Gamel RV located at 8777 S. Frontage Rd. The pair will then be at River Park Apartments located at 2575 W. 24th St. from 1:00-1:45. Following that, an autograph session will take place at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service located at 1840 S. 4th Ave from 2:00pm-3:00pm. The final appearance of the weekend will be at Country Club Honda from 3:15pm-4:30pm. Country Club Honda is located at 1000 32nd St.
