
Saturday's games cancelled

Both of Saturday's games in the Texas Winter League were cancelled due to the wet weather and unplayable field conditions. The games will not be made up. The league is off Sunday, but returns to action for the final four games in the regular season Monday through Thursday.
Brownsville clinched first place with a victory Friday over Harlingen. The WhiteWings hold a two-game lead over Laredo for second place with four games remaining. However, the teams have two head-to-head contests, including Monday at 11 a.m. and the regular season finale Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
The best-of-3 playoffs begin Friday with Brownsville against the second place team. Game 1 is Friday at 7 p.m. Game 2 is Saturday, Feb. 17th at 4 p.m. If Game 3 is necesssary, it will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday the 17th.
