Moffatt gets first career shutout; Altrichter scores overtime game-winner

Des Moines 6, Youngstown 4
The host Buccaneers got three points on a goal and two assists from Ilya Protas and Liam Watkins scored twice in a 6-4 win over Youngstown Saturday.
Des Moines trailed 2-1 after 20 minutes with the Phantoms getting goals from Braiden Clark and Grant Young. Protas replied for the Bucs.
Miles Gunty put Youngstown up by two early in the second and when Sascha Boumedienne scored six minutes later, it was 4-1. But after Watkins scored at 12:47 and Ben Kevan got his 14th of the year at 14:11, Des Moines pulled within one by the end of the second.
The Bucs closed out the win in the third on goals from Garett Drotts, Braedon Ford and Watkins.
Dubuque 4, USA Hockey NTDP U17s 2
Will Horcoff gave the NTDP U17s a 1-0 first-period lead, but the visiting Saints scored twice in the second and got two more in the third to earn the win.
Michael Barron and Jayden Jubenvill tallied for the Saints in the second.
Noah Powell made it a 3-1 lead at the 0:22 mark of the third and when Chase LaPinta scored a 1:55, it was 4-1. Cole McKinney got one back for the U17s at 18:59, but that was as close as it got.
Kevin Reidler had 26 saves for the Saints and Patrick Quinlan stopped 25 for the NTDP.
Dubuque, which has gone 7-2-0-1 in its last 10 games, stands atop the Eastern Conference standings with a 22-8-1-3 mark.
Waterloo 5, Chicago 4 ot
Jakub Altrichter scored the first goal of the game and the last goal of the game as Waterloo skated to a 5-4 overtime win over Chicago Saturday.
Goals from Altrichter and Myles Hilman staked the host Black Hawks to a 2-0 first-period lead. Kolin Sisson and Charlie Major replied for the Steel, but when Hilman scored at 16:56 for his second of the game, Waterloo held a 3-2 lead at the end of the first.
It became a 4-2 lead at 2:16 of the second on a goal from Gavyn Thoreson. Joey DelGreco's 12th goal of the year, which came at the 5:29 mark, brought Chicago within one and after 40 minutes, Waterloo led 4-3.
Ben Wilmont scored at 4:10 of the third to force overtime.
Altrichter ended it at 0:55 of overtime when he cut across the high slot and ripped a shot that beat Louka Cloutier high glove side.
Waterloo has gone 7-3-0-0 in its last 10 outings.
Lincoln 3, Tri-City 2 shootout
Lincoln scored twice in the shootout to pick up a 3-2 home win over Tri-City Saturday.
The Stars owned a 2-1 lead after the first 20 minutes of action. Ethan Weber opened the scoring in the game when he stepped up from the blue line and wristed a shot stickside for his second goal of the season. Carmelo Crandell responded for Tri-City 40 seconds later, but Blake Montgomery scored at 18:58 as Lincoln regained the lead.
Tri-City's Owen Beckner sent the game into overtime when he scored at 15:20 of the third.
Neither team was able to dent the twine in overtime, sending the game to a shootout.
Dashel Oliver and Ryan Spinale scored for Lincoln in the shootout and Yan Shostak, who had 30 shots in the game, stopped the two shots he faced in the shootout to give the Stars the win.
Sioux Falls 5, Omaha 2
Sioux Falls got goals from five different players in earning a 5-2 win over Omaha Saturday.
The visiting Lancers struck first on a Nick Pierre goal at 4:05 of the opening stanza.
The Stampede scored three straight times in the second on goals from Micah Berger, Jaksen Panzer and J.J. Wiebusch, but Pierre got his second of the game before the end of the period to bring Omaha within one.
The Stampede pulled away in the final 20 minutes of regulation on goals from Tyler Borgula and Will McDonough.
Michael Chambre had 18 stops to earn the win for Sioux Falls.
Fargo 3, Muskegon 1
After seeing it's eight-game winning streak end Friday night, league-leading Fargo returned to its winning ways in claiming a 3-1 victory at Muskegon Saturday.
Zam Plante's goal at 14:09 of the first gave the visiting Force 1-0 lead which held up until 17:59 of the second when Justin Solovey scored for the Lumberjacks. Lee Parks tallied on the power play at 18:46 and after 40 minutes, it was Fargo 2, Muskegon 1.
Tanner Walos secured the win for the Force when he tallied at 18:01 of the third.
Hampton Slukynsky, who remained undefeated and stands 13-0-0-0 for the season, stopped 14 shots. Shikhabutdin Gadzhiev turned aside 35 shots for the Lumberjacks.
Green Bay 1, Madison 0
Gavin Moffatt earned his first career shutout in backstopping Green Bay to a 1-0 win at Madison Saturday.
Carsen Musser was equally as good for the Capitols, stopping 21 of 22 shots in the contest.
The only goal of the game came at 6:59 of the second when Ben Poitras wired a shot from the left circle on the power play that beat Musser high on the shortside.
Now 19-7-3-1 on the season, Green Bay has gone 6-1-2-1 in its last 10 games.
