San Jose Stealth To Put On Free Lacrosse Clinic

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Stealth will be hosting a free clinic for lacrosse Coaches and all interested parties at the HP Pavilion on Thursday, October 21 from 6-9 p.m. This event is sponsored by the San Jose Stealth Community Development.

The clinic will be run by Stealth Managing Director and General Manager/Head Coach Johnny Mouradian. Topics for the clinic include a brief history of indoor lacrosse, principles and strategies of indoor/outdoor lacrosse, building effective and efficient teams, developing and promoting effective leadership and a question and answer session.

JOHNNY MOURADIAN

Managing Director and General Manager/Head Coach, San Jose Stealth Lacrosse veteran and icon Johnny Mouradian has served as the GM for the Buffalo Bandits, the Toronto Rock/Ontario Raiders and the Ottawa Rebel. Mouradian has won seven Professional World Indoor Championships in various roles as lacrosse executive, General Manager and shareholder. Three championships with the Buffalo Bandits in 1992, 1993 and 1996, and four championships with the Toronto Rock in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003. Mouradian was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2001 for his achievement as a member of the 1978 national team that won the World Championships in Manchester England. He served as the assistant coach for the 1982, 1986, 1990 and 1998 Canadian National Field Lacrosse teams and head coach of the 1985 team. Mouradian was inducted into the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1998, the Ithaca College Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Lakeport Secondary School Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2003, Mouradian was the General Manager of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse team that won the inaugural World Indoor Championships and continues his role as GM for Team Canada heading towards the next World Games in 2007.
