San Jose Stealth News Release
PLEASANTON, CA -The San Jose Stealth indoor professional lacrosse team (www.sjstealth.com) will open its training camp Saturday December 1, it was announced today.
The Stealth, fresh off of a playoff run in 2007, will conduct training camp over the first three weekends in December at the Rolling Ice facility in San Jose. They will have two-a-day practice sessions on December 1, 8 and 15, and will have single team workouts December 2, 9 and 16. All National League Lacrosse teams must be at the 23-player roster limit December 13.
"We really looked at what made us successful last year and our defense stood out," Stealth General Manager Johnny Mouradian said. "We led the NLL in goals against and were the best man down team in the league. We focused this offseason on getting more goals in our lineup and by adding guys like Peter Veltman, Tom Johnson and Frank Resetarits we addressed those needs. We feel good about the strength of our roster and expect to be a very competitive team."
San Jose opens the season at the Calgary Roughnecks Saturday January 12, takes a week off and then kicks off the home schedule against Calgary January 25 at HP Pavilion.
