September 18, 2010 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
San Francisco Rumble News Release

San Francisco, CA. The ABA San Francisco Rumble is seeking interns to be part of the team for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. Interns will also have the opportunity to work with the team during the off season to help the organization become an integral part of the Bay Area community.

The team is in its fourth season of play and continues to build a tradition of success, professionalism and community involvement. We are looking for highly motivated and reliable women and men to participate in all aspects of the organization.

These positions are not paid salary or hourly and are part-time. However, interns who are chosen to work with the Rumble will have the opportunity to earn money through various marketing and/or sponsorship related avenues as the season progresses. The selected individuals will gain a wealth of experience as they help the organization in all aspects of achieving our goal of becoming a more deeply entrenched member of the Bay Area Sports Community.

Your investment of time and effort will be in one of the following areas:

* Team Operations

*Marketing/Sales

*Administrative Support

*Media Relations

*Photography/Digital Media

*Website design

*Sports Writing and Broadcasting

*Community involvement

For immediate consideration for an intern position with the San Francisco Rumble, any interested person should respond with cover letter and resume to info@gorumble.com. Please apply by September 23rd. For applicants that meet that deadline, we will have our first meeting on September 25th. (Further details to follow).

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
