San Diego Spirit Individual Game Ticket on Sale Saturday

SAN DIEGO - Single-game tickets to all 11 San Diego Spirit home games at USD's Torero Stadium will go on sale Saturday, February 15, 10:00 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 619-220-TIXS or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase their Spirit tickets in advanced and save money over the game day walk-up prices. The Spirit has five big promotional giveaway days planned for the 2003 season.

Advanced Spirit single-seats are priced at $35 for Founders Seating, $25 for Platinum Seating, $20 for Gold Seating and $15 for Silver Seating. Game day walk-up prices range from $18-$40.

"We are offering our fans great savings if they purchase in advance," said Spirit ticket manager Sandy Travis. "We have made it easy to attend a Spirit game at an affordable price. We encourage fans to take advantage of the savings by purchasing their tickets early."

Spirit season, mini-plan and group tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by calling 1-877-4SOCCER (1-877-476-2237) or by visiting www.sandiegospirit.com.

The 2003 promotional giveaway schedule, the biggest in team history, includes Dave & Buster's Power Cards on April 5, Spirit T-shirts on May 18, bobbleheads on June 29 and July 23, and Spirit team calendars on August 9. Each promotional day will feature giveaways to the first 4,000 fans through the stadium gates.

The Spirit, entering their third campaign of WUSA play, kicks off their season at home on Saturday, April 5, 6:00 p.m. vs. the Boston Breakers. The match will feature the debut of the club's #1 draft pick Aly Wagner.

The San Diego Spirit is a charter member of the WUSA and plays their home matches at the 7,035-seat Torero Stadium on the campus of the University of San Diego. The Spirit kicks off their third season of action on April 5, against the Boston Breakers. Kickoff is 6 p.m. PT.
