San Diego Spirit News Release
SAN DIEGO - San Diego Spirit head coach Omid Namazi has added Shauna Rohbock to the Spirit roster as a developmental player. The Spirit released defender Susie Palmer, its fourth round pick in the 2003 WUSA Draft out of Pepperdine, to make room for Rohbock.
* Rohbock played in 12 games and scored two goals in 2002 for the Spirit.
* The former BYU All-American was an alternate on the 2002 U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team.
Rohbock was a member of the Spirit's roster for most of last season, playing in 12 games, and starting six, while scoring two goals, both on headers, in an early season game against Boston. The 5-foot-8 former BYU All-American in heptathlon and soccer was an alternate on the 2002 U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team. Rohbock tried out for the Spirit during the 2003 pre-season, but was not named to the squad. She will be tried at marking back in this incarnation of her Spirit career.
