San Diego Loyal SC Announces 2020 Preseason Schedule

San Diego, CA - Today, USL Championship's newest club, San Diego Loyal Soccer Club (SD Loyal), announced their 2020 preseason schedule, which includes exhibitions against Major League Soccer club FC Dallas and Costa del Este FC of Panama. All matches are in preparation for the club's inaugural regular season kicking off on March 7 at Torero Stadium against Las Vegas Lights FC.

In addition, SD Loyal launched training camp today with players reporting to Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center - a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site with state-of-the-art sports venues. Training camp is closed to the public, except for select events by invitation only for Season Ticket Members.

"After months and months of building a roster, we're excited to finally step on the field and get to work," said EVP of Soccer Operations and First Team Manager Landon Donovan. "As a new team, it's important for our training camp and preseason games to get us up to speed as quickly as possible. A best-in-class training facility and the diverse and challenging schedule of games will help us to accomplish that. We can't wait for Opening Night on March 7th!"

On Feb. 2 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, SD Loyal will host a closed scrimmage against FC Dallas. This game is closed to the public. SD Loyal then travels to play a scrimmage against California State University, Fullerton on Feb. 8. SD Loyal will host their first game on their home field at Torero Stadium for a friendly on Feb. 22 versus Costa del Este FC of Panama- SD Loyal player Yair Jean's former club. The preseason closes with SD Loyal traveling to Nevada on Feb. 29 to square off against Reno 1868 FC.
