San Antonio FC Defeats El Paso Locomotive FC 1-0, Wins Copa Tejas

EL PASO, Texas - San Antonio FC defeated El Paso Locomotive FC tonight 1-0, securing the club's first ever Copa Tejas championship.

Santiago Patiño scored the deciding goal for SAFC, his fourth goal in the last three matches to give him five on the season.

Justin Dhillon assisted on the goal, giving him five on the season to tie PC for the team lead.

The 1-0 score held thanks to a third-straight shutout by SAFC, with keeper Jordan Farr only having to make one save in his eighth clean sheet of the season. San Antonio FC has now held their opponent scoreless 10 times this season, including three of the last four matches.

SAFC plays again quickly, heading to Las Vegas to play Lights FC on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 9:30 p.m. CT, with the match broadcast on ESPN+.
