
San Angelo Stampede Express to Join LSFL
November 17, 2011 - Lone Star Football League (LSFL) News Release
In addition to today's announcements, the San Angelo Stampede Express will be joining the Lone Star Football League as a dormant team for the 2012 season; the Stampede Express will return to play for the 2013 season.
The San Angelo Stampede Express began play in 2004 as a member of the Intense Football League. The Stampede Express finished with a 9-7 regular season record in '04 including a berth to the Intense Football League playoffs. After one season in the NIFL (2005) and three more seasons as a part of the Intense Football League (2006-2008), the Stampede Express became a member of the Indoor Football League in 2009. San Angelo made playoff appearances in both the 2009 and 2010 seasons reaching as far as the second round of the Indoor Football League playoffs in both seasons.
