San Jose SaberCats News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats (2-1) will host the Spokane Shock (4-0) for the first time this season on Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Shock got the better of San Jose last time they were in town, winning 90-63 in a disappointing home loss for the "ÃËCats in June of 2012. Spokane narrowly missed the playoffs last year, despite having a 10-8 record; however this season they post a perfect 4-0 record with three of those wins coming on the road. The Shock are led by gun-slinging quarterback Erik Meyer, who has already thrown 32 touchdowns with no interceptions for an offense that is averaging nearly 70 points a game. SaberCats quarterback Aaron Garcia looks to shred the Shock defense with the help of his dominant receiving corps of Jason Willis, Fred Williams, Samora Goodson and Jamarko Simmons and help San Jose earn their second home win in as many tries.
