
Russo Named November PHF Player of the Month

(Brooklyn, N.Y.) - The Premier Hockey Federation today announced that forward Rebecca Russo of the Metropolitan Riveters is the PHF Player of the Month for November after leading the league in scoring with nine points over four games including four goals and five assists while carrying a plus-minus rating of +5.
Russo has been red hot to start the 2021-22 campaign amassing four-straight multi-point performances that have contributed to a pair of wins for the third place Riveters. Her most productive outing was in the season opener on Nov. 6 scoring once with two assists as part of a 4-1 win over the Connecticut Whale. The Boston University graduate also tallied twice on Nov. 21 in a 5-3 victory against the Buffalo Beauts while firing seven shots on goal for the second straight game. Over the course of her five-year career she's produced four two-goal games and a trio of three-point efforts.
The 27-year-old from Westport, CT has been a member of the Riveters since the 2016-17 season and helped lead the team to an Isobel Cup title in 2018. She currently ranks ninth all-time in PHF scoring with 52 points in 57 games including 22 goals.
Also considered for the November award was Riveters captain Madison Packer who scored four goals and four assists for eight points in four games, and Mikyla Grant-Mentis of the Toronto Six who compiled eight points comprised of two goals and six assists but in just three games played. Kennedy Marchment of the Connecticut Whale was the top scoring newcomer during November with four goals and three assists for seven points in six games, while Amanda Boulier of the Boston Pride led all blue liners with four points in six games scoring once with three assists. Boston's Katie Burt posted the best numbers between-the-pipes with two wins in three starts including one shutout for a goals-against-average of 1.31 and save percentage of .956.
