Rush Look to Wrap up Regular Season with Win
April 22, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Edmonton Rush News Release
The Edmonton Rush will look to enter the NLL Champion's Cup playoffs on a winning note as they take on the Vancouver Stealth in the regular-season finale on Friday night.
Edmonton has already locked down the No. 1 seed and home-turf advantage throughout the playoffs, and will go directly to the two-game West Division final beginning May 9. The Rush will meet the winner of the one-game West Division Semifinal between Calgary and Colorado in the division final. Vancouver's loss last weekend to Philadelphia eliminated the Stealth from playoff contention. The Rush's loss last Saturday to Calgary ended their home-turf undefeated streak, as the Roughnecks' 14-13 OT victory was Edmonton's first home loss of 2014. That defeat also prevented the Rush from completing a season-series sweep of Calgary, having taken all three earlier games this season.
The Rush have won eight of their last nine regular-season meetings with the Stealth (Vancouver/Washington) and can complete a season-series sweep of Vancouver with a win on Friday night.
