Edmonton Rush News Release

The Rush are building off their very first home win - 13-12 over the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, January 6. Randy Daly scored the game-winning goal with less than two seconds remaining. Jimmy Quinlan notched a team record five goals and Chris Gill registered a team record eight points which earned him NLL Offensive Player of the Week honors.

This is the first edition of the 2007 schedule's Battle of Alberta - the first of three meetings with the Calgary Roughnecks this season (two at home for Rush). The Rush's lone win last season was at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

This game will also mark the debut of Jason Wulder in the Rush lineup. Wulder was traded from the Roughnecks to the Rush during the off-season in exchange for Kerry Susheski and a draft pick. Wulder is entering his 13th NLL season and has 149 goals and 449 points in 150 career games.

Also debuting with the Rush is defenceman Dan Finck, a member of the NLL's All-Rookie Team in 2005, who was signed by the team earlier this week after spending the last two seasons with in Philadelphia.

And to bolster our own troops, the Rush have invited former NBA "Bad Boy" Dennis Rodman to the game. "The Worm" is sure to be colourful, outspoken and in the mood to see some incredible lacrosse action so fans are invited to wear their best Rush black, be loud and proud and help one of the most outrageous sports characters of all time lead the Rush to a win over their provincial rivals.
