Rush Announce 2015 Training Camp Dates

November 4, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Edmonton Rush News Release

Edmonton, AB---General Manager and Head Coach Derek Keenan announced today the 2015 Rush Training Camp details. 2015 Training Camp opens Friday, November 21 in Edmonton. (Full details below)

"Our players and staff can't wait to get after it at training camp. When you don't reach the pinnacle in our league it makes the off-season that much longer." states Keenan .

The team will host three weekends of training camp, with two weekends in Edmonton and one weekend at the home of Vancouver Stealth, in Langley, BC.

"I really like our camp set-up this year. We've spread it out a little bit more enabling us to go hard with some recovery time in between. Starting camp at our home practice facility in Leduc is a bonus as well. It gives some of the new players an early opportunity to get familiar with our home surroundings."

The team will host the second training camp weekend in British Columbia for a first for the franchise who is celebrating its 10th year in the NLL.

"Going to Vancouver for our second weekend works really well too. It gives our BC players a chance to practice close to home and the opportunity to play an exhibition game against a team that always pushes us to the limit is a bonus. " continues Keenan

The final training camp weekend with have the team practice on Crystal Glass Field at Rexall Place Thursday, December 18 with a road trip to provincial rivals Calgary Roughnecks for an exhibition game .

"Finishing camp on Crystal Glass Field and the exhibition game in Calgary will be great for our team. Practicing on Crystal Glass Field gives us the chance to put the finishing touches on in an NLL arena and that's important in terms of pre-season prep. And there's no better way to finish up training camp than to get an early jump on the battle of Alberta!"
