Edmonton Rush News Release
Edmonton, AB, - The Edmonton Rush lacrosse team and the Gentleman Plumbers have announced a unique partnership in support of an Edmonton-based national charity. For the duration of the 2015 season, every successful Edmonton Rush home game penalty "kill" (the period of time in which a team becomes short-handed due to one or more penalties) will result in a $100 donation by the Gentlemen Plumbers to Little Warriors, a charitable organization committed to the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.
"We're excited to partner with the Edmonton Rush lacrosse team on this special initiative. At The Gentlemen Plumbers, we take our commitment to the community seriously, and we're so pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile cause in partnership with one of our city's most beloved sports teams," said [name/job title] of The Gentlemen Plumbers. "For the last three seasons, Edmonton Rush has had the strongest defence in the league, so we anticipate making many donations!"
Glori Meldrum, Founder of Little Warriors, said, "It's fantastic to see our community come together to support our work. Initiatives likes these not only help to increase awareness of our services, but also help to keep the Be Brave Ranch in operation. Our sincere thanks go to the Gentlemen Plumbers and Edmonton Rush for their efforts to give survivors of child sexual abuse the chance for a brighter future."
