Rush Acquire Thompson

Edmonton, AB---.Edmonton Rush General Manager/Head Coach Derek Keenan announced today that the club has acquired transition player Jeremy Thompson in exchange for forward Aaron Wilson and a second round selection in the 2013 Entry Draft.

Thompson was Buffalo's first round selection in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft. He played fourteen games in the 2012 Season to record three goals, six assists for a total of nine points and scooped 72 loose balls.

"This trade brings us a young versatile player who has abilities to do a bit of everything." states Keenan.

In 2010, Thompson was voted a First Team All-Star and MVP in the President's Cup Tournament (Senior "B")... Was a member of the President's Cup champion Onondaga Redhawks... In 2007, he was selected as First Team All-Star in the Junior "A" circuit.
