Ruff Riders to Hold Four More Tryouts and Cheerleader Auditions

KATY, TX - The Katy Ruff Riders will be holding an open player tryout on February 3, 2007 at Fun Stadium in Houston, Texas in an effort to fill their roster before the Inaugural game in April. The Ruff Riders will also hold tryouts in San Antonio on January 27, Dallas on February 10, and in Memphis, Tennessee on February 24.
All tryouts will begin at 10 a.m. CST at each location. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. The cost of each tryout is $50 cash only and the registration form is available for download at www.KatyRuffRiders.com or can be filled out by prospective players the day of the tryout.
The Ruff Riders are looking for players of all positions and each athlete will be required to participate in offensive and defensive drills. Players will compete at one of the following positions: QB, WR, DB, OL, DL, FB or LB.
Katy Ruff Riders Head Coach Donald Hollas and his coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate all players at the tryout camps.
All participants will be required to sign a waiver and pay a $50.00 cash only registration fee. Players should dress in workout gear and have the appropriate shoes. Pads will NOT be worn. Players should arrive one hour early to register.
The format of the tryout will be a pro-style combine. Select players will be invited to stay for position drills.

In addition to player tryouts, the Katy Ruff Riders will be hosting their 2007 Cheerleader Auditions. The Ruff Riders are looking for outgoing, friendly, talented and bright females with a cheer or dance background.
Auditions will be held LA Fitness (19550 Restaurant Row) on Saturday January 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. All participants need to bring to bring a headshot (no smaller than a 4X6) and dress in appropriate dance wear (fitted tank or sports bra and dance pants). Each participant must be 18 years or older by December 31st 2006 and a $15.00 audition fee is required as well.
