Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release
Cedar Rapids, Iowa- Cedar Rapids RoughRiders CEO Pat Forciea announced today that the RoughRiders will sponsor Dudley Fleck's #14 late model stock car for the 2004 racing season at Hawkeye Downs.
The racing season opens on Friday, April 30.
"We're thrilled to be part of Dudley's team and we're jacked to know that we'll be at Hawkeye Downs all summer," said Forciea. "My advertising agency has been fortunate enough to be a part of Target's NASCAR team for the last four years and we've had the chance to see first-hand what a spectacular sport it is. Now we're looking forward to being a part of racing right here at home in Cedar Rapids."
The RoughRiders car will be on display at the Riders' NASCAR Night game against the Danville Wings this Saturday evening at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The game starts at 7:05PM.
As part of the evening, one lucky fan will win a pair of tickets to next month's Daytona 500 along with free airfare on Delta Airlines. The winner will be announced in an on-ice drawing during the first intermission.
Tickets purchased on the day of the game are available for just $5.00 (excluding red zone seats) to fans wearing an item of racing apparel (hat, shirt, jacket) when purchasing tickets.
Tickets for NASCAR Night- and the rest of the RoughRiders' regular season home games- are now on sale at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or in person at the ice arena. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days.
