
Rogues Outfielder and Heat Hurler Honored

Portland, Oregon - A Medford Rogues outfielder and a Chico Heat hurler are the Madison Bat Company Players of the Week, as announced by GWL Commissioner Ken Wilson.
Cole Carder hit .519 (14-27) for the week with 3 HRs and 7 RBIs to become the Player of the Week, while right-hander Blake Hannah had a strong 7-inning outing versus the Lincoln Potters to be named Pitcher of the Week.
Carder, a sophomore from the University of Antelope Valley, is the league's leading hitter, with a .404 average and 21 RBIs in 28 games. A 6-2, 180 pound Medford, Oregon native, Carder also had 4 walks and 4 stolen bases over six games to notch the award.
Hannah, went 7 innings on July 3rd against the Potters, allowing only one run on 4 hits and striking out four without allowing a walk. The UC-Davis Aerospace Science and Engineering major has worked in 3 games this season for the Heat, with a 3-0 mark and 0.58 ERA. In 15-1/3 innings on the hill, Hannah has 17 strikeouts and allowed only 7 hits without allowing a free pass. The 6-3, 215 pound Vacaville, California native just completed his junior year at UC-Davis.
