
Rock Roll to Big Win over Warriors 14-5

VANCOUVER - A five goal run in the first half and a six goal run in the 3rd quarter propelled the Toronto Rock past the Vancouver Warriors 14-5 in front of a season-high crowd of 8283 at Rogers Arena.
Goaltender Nick Rose played well for the Rock, turning aside 30 shots for the victory. Vancouver had goals from Riley Loewen, rookie Reid Bowering, Keegan Bal and Kyle Killen with a pair, including his team leading 24th of the season.
Rob Hellyer had a big game for Toronto, scoring five goals and adding three assists for eight points.
Steve Fryer started the game in goal for Vancouver, but was chased after allowing four goals on 13 shots. Alex Buque mopped up but was also chased after allowing seven goals on 17 shots before Fryer came back in to finish up between the pipes.
With the loss, Vancouver falls to 5-6 on the season, and remain in third place in the Western Conference with seven games to play. Next up for the Warriors, a trip to the Mile High City to face the Colorado Mammoth. The Warriors return home to take on the division leading San Diego Seals in a key Western Conference matchup on Friday March 25th. Game time at Rogers Arena is at 7:30 PM.
