Rochester New York FC Adds Lamar Batistia

Today we welcome Lamar Batista to the RNY FC team, who we know joins us in our shared passion.

Batista joins the club after spending a year on loan last year with USL Championship side OKC Energy.

A 6ft 5in, left footed center back, Batista was part of an excellent defensive line with OKC last year and brings many qualities to RNYFC.

Coach Baltazar is delighted to get Batista's signature:

"Lamar is an experienced and modern left footed center back that gives leadership, physical presence, aggression and quality build up to the team".

Batista is looking forward to working alongside Baltazar giving it as a key reason behind his decision to join the club:

"I am very excited to sign with Rochester. I'm looking forward to the new challenges and getting to work with a coach such as Bruno. I know I will be challenged this year and that is exactly what I need to take my game to the next level. This year will be a good one".

Lee Tucker, RNYFC's Sporting Director was keen to acknowledge the potential that Lamar has. Tucker said:

"We believe he has the potential to grow into a top level center back with the help of Bruno and his team. His experience will be vital this year."

Rochester New york FC has signed Center Back Lamar Batista to an MLS NEXT Pro PROFESSIONAL contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
