Fargo Force News Release
The Fargo Force offense clearly made the bus trip this weekend. The Force was on the road for two games this weekend at Tri-City and at Omaha. The offense produced 11 goals, and Fargo went 2-0 on the weekend to pull their record to 3-2 overall. On Friday night, the Force was led by Matt Leitner (Minnesota State-Mankato) in a penalty-laden hockey game. Fargo scored two power play goals, including one in overtime to down Tri-City in the extra session. Leitner had two goals and notched an assist on the game winning goal scored by Johnnie Searfoss (Univ. of Maine). Searfoss, the only Fargo player to play in every game last year, also picked up an assist in the game. Chase Grant (Minnesota State-Mankato) also had a goal and an assist for the Force. 3 Force Players Honored
USA Hockey today announced the 22-man roster for its 2009 U.S. Junior Select Team that will compete at the World Junior A Challenge Nov. 1-8 in Summerside, P.E.I. The U.S. roster includes 3 Fargo Force players: Colten St. Clair (Univ. of North Dakota), Matt Leitner (Minnesota State-Mankato) and Eamonn McDermott (Colorado College).
Pink in the Rink
Friday, October 30th marks the second annual 'Pink in the Rink' night as the Fargo Force team up with Mary Kay Foundation to help Fight Cancer and Domestic Violence. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and the jersey auction will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation in an effort to raise as much money as possible to support this great cause.
