Edmonton Rush News Release
EDMONTON, AB- The Edmonton Rush took to the floor surface at Rexall Place today with its brand new turf lacrosse field.
The tradition of excellence at Rexall Place continues as the Edmonton Rush has purchased the best turf lacrosse field available in the market.
The turf lacrosse field was purchased through Sportexe Select, a well-known company for providing turf fields to arena football teams and other National Lacrosse League teams.
The standard turf field is 10 mm of underlay; however the Rush will have a 20 mm of underlay turf. The purpose of the additional underlay is for higher quality and for the longevity of the carpet.
"Rexall Place is well-known for its quality of ice in the NHL and it is important that we continue that tradition in the NLL with our turf lacrosse field." states Duane Vienneau, President, Edmonton Rush Lacrosse Club.
The Edmonton Rush will open Training Camp on Saturday, November 26 at West Edmonton Mall's Ice Palace. All 23 players and three practice players will be in attendance. Following the official announcement of the 2006 Edmonton Rush Roster, the 2006 Training Camp will open. For more details on the all day event, please visit www.edmontonrush.com
