Battle Creek Revolution News Release


(Battle Creek, Mi) The Battle Creek Revolution hockey club, proud member of the All American Hockey League, is happy to announce that the team has come to an agreement with Shawn McNulty for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. The gritty forward from Campbell River, British Columbia will take part in his second pro season with the Revolution. Per club policy, details of the agreement will not be disclosed.

The six foot, 195 lbs left winger is looking to improve on his rookie season and become a strong force on the team. McNulty played three seasons in the Juniors before turning pro last season. During his Junior career in the SJHL, McNulty suited up with the Flin Flon Bombers, Battlesford North Stars, and Nipawin Hawks playing in 161 games racking up a total of 71 points (34 goals, 37 assists). In the 2009-2010 season during his rookie season he played in 39 games scoring a total of 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists) helping the team to a second place regular season finish.

"Shawn has ton of potential to be a star in this league and talent to play at a higher level without a doubt," stated, Bobby Clouston, Director of Hockey Operations. "It's my job to push that monster that is inside of him to get that break out season and the kid to the next level."

Training camp opens on October 16th with players reporting for physicals. The Revolution will then hold two days of practice before their preseason schedule opens up with a game against the Indiana Blizzard on Monday night October, 18 th at 8:00pm. The regular season begins on Friday October 22nd. The Revolution currently have eight players under contract for the 2010-11 season; Chris Affinati, Rob Schweyer, Matt Kinsella, Ryan Huggett, Dan Kohanchuk, Ryan Bond, Kye Moje, and Shawn McNulty. The Revolution also have five players under training camp agreements from the AAHL Free Agent.
