(Battle Creek, Mi) The Battle Creek Revolution, the proud Single A affiliate of the Muskegon Lumber Jacks of the International Hockey League, are charging hard to the finish line trying to run down the Chi-Town Shooters for first place. The Revolution will be in action twice this weekend on the road Friday night at Midwest Ice and Training Center in Saint Johns, Indiana against the Shooters and will be home for Short Track Racing Night against the Evansville Icemen on Saturday night. Â
The game Friday night in Saint Johns will be the biggest regular season game of the year. If the Revolution should not walk away with a win on Friday against the Shooters, it could dash their chances to be the number one seed of the Davidson Cup Playoffs. The Revolution will return home Saturday night against the Evansville Icemen as race car drivers and fans from the Springport Motor Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway, Butler Motor Speedway, and Galesburg Speedway will be on hand to cheer on the Revolution. Â
It will also be Autism Awareness night raising money for the charity with a silent auction, 50/50, and more. There will also be a small race car show outside of Revolution Arena starting at 6:00pm featuring an Auto Value Super Sprint, Super Late Models, Arena Cars, and more. The biggest attraction of the night besides the hockey game will be during the first intermission will be the Arena Racing USA 15 lap race on Ice. Also are great hockey fans will receive buy one get one free passes to Kalamazoo Speedway and Springport Motor Speedway during the 2010 racing season. Starting about 4:30pm in the parking lot, the Revolution Fan Club will be having a tailgating party featuring a grill out for the race fans and hockey fans.
During the month of March, if you bring in two can goods to the Revolution Arena ticket office, you will receive $1 off a Revolution home game ticket or a public skate session. All food collected during the month of March will be donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
Individual game tickets are $7.00 Adults, $6.00 Seniors, $5 Students with IDs, and $4.00 Youth hockey players with jersey on. Get your tickets early for this special night of hockey @ Revolution Arena (The Rink) by calling the Revolution ticket office @ 269-832-8172 or stop down to purchase your tickets in person Monday-Saturday at the team's ticket office at Revolution Arena (The Rink).
The Battle Creek Revolution is locked in a tight battle for playoff position for home ice against the Shooters. The Revolution lead the All American Hockey League in goals scored, penalty minutes, and fighting majors that make them the most exciting team to watch in the league.
